The Project

Neither ELNA nor the many Esperantists involved in the project receive any monetary profit -- quite the contrary! The work is voluntary and unpaid, and the volunteers very often do not ask to be compensated for many of the costs they incur.

The principal objective is to provide the Esperanto movement with a professional teaching tool . . . to this end ELNA appeals for your support. Lusi Harmon, producer of the video, correctly defines Pasporto al la Tuta Mondo as a bold endeavor. It is bold in the scope of its professionalism, its magnitude . . . and its finances.

Many individuals and organizations (listed at the end of each lesson) have given generously to support the project, but more funds are needed if the 15 lessons of Pasporto al la Tuta Mondo are to be available within the planned time scale.

Money collected through pre-orders is an important component for funding the project. Another crucial cornerstone for financing the project has been and will be patrons, individuals or groups. Your help in spreading the word of the success of this project so far and of its needs for completion will go a long way towards making a complete, professional course to suit the needs of our growing world community and for promoting Esperanto outside of our own community.

More information is available from ELNA at [510] 653-0998 (e-mail: elna@esperanto-usa.org) or from the Videotape Project Commissioner, Lusi Harmon, at [510] 531-8393
