How long have you been an artist?
My mother claims I was drawing before I was walking. I'm not sure I believe that... seems pretty difficult to do.
What is your educational background?
I watched my (artist) father create artwork. Other than that, I read the typical art books and how-to magazines.
What about college?
I tried it and (like green eggs and ham) I didn't like it. I felt I wasn't getting my money's worth.
Why draw instead of paint?
I am better at drawing. Using pencil gives me the control I need to render certain forms exactly the way I want.
How long does it take you to finish a piece?
Anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months - Depends on the size.
What prompted you to draw angels?
My experience with them, jazz music, dreams, meditation, visions, and good old fashioned imagination.
Are angels the only thing you do??
Since this subject is what I've based my art career on, I spend a lot of time with it.
Would you ever draw clothed angels?
Believe it or not, my drawings aren't about nudity. My drawings are about an experience. Now, if I drew anything that wasn't true to this experience, my artwork wouldn't be true, and I would be an artistic liar.
Where would you like to see your art career take you?
History. I want my artwork in history books. Period
