2/20/2003: On "Religion"
I certainly wouldn't call myself a "religious" person, but I stumbled upon a belief system that just may change my mind!! It's called the Ba'hai Faith and (so far) it encompasses my most sacred convictions: (1) women and men are equal, and (2) all races are beautiful. I heard about it listening to my favorite jazz radio station. You can check it out too! I'm not ready to commit yet, but it seems to be what I've been looking for!

2/11/2003: On "Realism and Truth"
To me, the challenge in making realistic art presents itself in truth. If you're making mistakes (whether self-evident or pointed out by others), you're simply not being honest. Tell the truth in your artwork and you'll end up with a realistic image. Rinse. And Repeat.
